Textual date use and reproduction rights
The texts available on the ReNom websiste (renom.univ-tours.fr) are taken from the Epistemon textual database and published on the BVH website.
They include previously unedited texts and original transcriptions, diffused free of charge for private use and research. The transcription having been made by university faculty members, students, public institution employees and contracted employees, the ownership and reproduction rights of the organisms that funded the data capture and formatting and the copyright of the libraries who permitted the reproduction of the original texts are protected by a CC BY-NC-ND licence. Reproduction for commercial use requires authorisation. The texts are marked with digital watermarks rendering non-authorised reproductions traceable.
The same rights apply to the articles and information contained in the fact sheets provided for the various places and characters in the texts.
All the material presented on the ReNom website (renom.univ-tours.fr) provided by the BVH programme is covered by the Creative Commons-Paternity-No Commercial Use-No Modification 2.0 France licence.
Intellectual property: images and editorial content
In accordance with the law of the 11th March 1957 (art. 41) and the intellectual property code of the 1st July 1992, all partial or total reproduction for collective use is strictly forbidden without authorisation by the BVH (Bibliothèques Virtuelles Humanistes/Virtual Humanist Libraries).
Logos and signs used on the website remain the property of their registered holders.
The BVH declines all responsibility for information presented on other websites which may include hyperlinks to the ReNom website.
The user recognises that the use of the ReNom website (renom.univ-tours.fr) is subject to French law.
Personal data and named information
The ReNom team engages not to use personal email addresses communicated by users when contacting the website manager or subscribing to the newsletter for any purpose(s) than that/those stated by the user.
In conformity with article 34 of the Computer and Liberty Law (Informatique et Libertés) of the 6th January 1978, modified on the 6th August 2004, all personal data collected through the ReNom website may be modified, rectified or suppressed by the person concerned. Requests to exercise this right should be made through the contact option of website (renom@univ-tours.fr.).
